Gale Tattersall is both an artist and a visionary. As a cinematographer he has photographed such varied work as The Commitments, Ghost Ship, Pushing Tin, Wild Orchid, Tank Girl, and The Addams Family. He is currently the Director of Photography for HOUSE, which airs Monday Nights on FOX.

A firm supporter of innovative technologies, Gale has embraced the Digital Revolution by utilizing low-cost Canon HD DSLR cameras in his cinematography toolkit.

Now, Gale has decided to share his knowledge and techniques with filmmakers, students, and budding artists in a series of live workshops.

At the HD DSLR Workshops we inspire as well as educate. Our students leave with new tools and the vision to use those tools. This is accomplished by instructing techniques and practices that will help the students to navigate real world situations rather than idealized, insulated scenarios. The workshops take place over three consecutive Sundays of each month, allowing for gradual absorption and retention of the curriculum. The weeks between classes give the students time for questioning and testing of the techniques learned.

These workshops serve as an excellent jumping off point for photographers and cinematographers of all skill levels, taking their first steps into the world of HD DSLR video production.

This is very much a hands-on journey that imparts skills from focused professionals who are re-inventing cinema, television, and visual media through cutting-edge technology.
